Equally at home in the worlds of classical and contemporary music, Delaine Fedson Leonard has a wide range of performing experience in a variety of different settings. For many years, she performed for Broadway touring shows and stars such as Bernadette Peters, Ray Charles, Dave Brubeck, Willie Nelson, and Natalie Cole. She was also a regular performer at many downtown Austin landmarks like the Driskill and Stephen F. Austin Hotels, Metropolitan Club, Austin Club, Headliner’s Club, and the Barton Creek Country Club.
Later, her focus shifted to the world of chamber music, orchestra and opera. She collaborated extensively the Austin Chamber Ensemble, flutists Helen Ann Shanley and Barbara Mahler, and performed with orchestras in Ft. Worth, Waco, Austin and San Antonio. For many years was the second harpist with the Dallas Opera Orchestra.
Delaine Fedson Leonard is a founding member of the American Harp Quartet, established in 2012. In addition to familiar classics, the quartet plays music from the Great American Songbook, and has been featured on concert programs in California, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Texas.
Since 1982, it has been Fedson Leonard’s pleasure to provide memorable music for a variety of very special occasions such as weddings, life celebrations, corporate events, cocktail hours, and holiday parties. She enjoys customizing music to her client’s needs and is always happy to be a part of their very special day.
